Meander is a Scottish outdoor clothing brand that genuinely cares about the world we live in. We work with premium performance fabrics to create minimalist style, functional garments, designed to work if you are on the office commute, climbing a mountain or drinking espressos in the city.

As outdoor lovers we are naturally passionate about the environment and sustainability is the forefront of our brand values, we work with only European factories, we’re Carbon Neutral and we’ve partnered with 1% for the planet (donating 1% of our sales to environmental charities) and are on our way to becoming B-Corp certified.

We launched our first collection online in October 2019 and are a DTC brand with a flagship store and HQ in Edinburgh and a store in Covent Garden, London. We were selected by the judges at ISPO Brandnew as one of the top 50 newcomers in 2020 and have plans to grow the brand rapidly.
We’re at the beginning of an exciting journey and looking for a passionate, hands-on team member who is excited to join us at the early stages and help to grow the London community from the ground up at our new 7 Dials store.

About the Role:

The marketing and retail assistant role is key to bringing our brand to life through amplifying brand awareness of Meander across multiple channels, writing engaging content, researching like ambassadors and influencers, supporting the retail side in the day to day running of the store.
This role would be a great opportunity for a recent graduate with experience or an interest in one or more of the following and would relish the opportunity to get involved in the early stages of a fast-growing start-up brand.

• Creative, confident, and inquisitive personality.
• Proficiency in using Adobe suite is a plus.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively our brand messaging in store.
• A passion for sustainability and the great outdoors.

About the Role:

We are looking for a fashion/clothing graduate who is passionate about the environment.

As a small start-up brand, it’s important that everyone gets involved in different parts of the business, so while this is a hybrid role combining some time on the shop floor, it’s also a great opportunity to work with the founders and product development manager on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting on the development process, working with PD manager on prototypes development.
• Creating tech packs and keeping record of all garment specifications and fit comments.
• Ordering fabrics and trims and keeping track of delivery dates.
• Collection and analysis of data to help calculate our carbon footprint across all aspects of the business.
• Managing the Materials tracking process and shipping
• Research Sustainable packaging for both ecommerce and manufacture
• Acting as a brand ambassador, telling the brand story and sharing our sustainable values to our customers, selling the range and promoting the brand during events as well as general housekeeping duties.

About you:

As a small startup with big ambitions, we’re looking for team players that will bring passion and enthusiasm, who will roll their sleeves up and get involved in various aspects of building the brand and running a small business. Role Requirements:
• A degree in a relevant discipline (clothing design/manufacture or related subjects would be an advantage, minimum grade 2:1)
• Ambition to develop skills in clothing industry in product development.
• A good work ethic and team skills and an ability to manage time effectively.
• Experience using Adobe Suite (Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop)
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyse data.
• Strong numeracy skills and be a good problem solver.
• Great organisational skills and be efficient and process driven.
• Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines.

As Store Supervisor you will have accountability for the day to day performance and assist with all aspects of operating the store. As a new brand, we are looking for someone with aligned values, a passion for the outdoors and sustainability and who can bring our brand to life. You must have great people skills and enjoy talking to customers and creating a community around the store.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as an ambassador for the brand and convey our story and values to customers.
• Full accountability for the store performance. Help set and communicate targets to all team members.
• Learn and maintain great product knowledge. You must acquire an excellent understanding of the performance materials and eco credentials of each product.
• Maintain the store to a high standard including visual merchandising and general housekeeping.
• Create a community through hosting events, Sunday socials and social media
• Report stock and manage inventory.
• Give amazing customer service.
• Leading, motivating and mentoring your store team.
• Ensure safe working environment for the team and carry out relevant risk assessments.
• Manage the back of house operation that supports the needs of the store.

About you:

• Previous experience in retail. Ideally at a supervisor level within a premium clothing brand with similar brand values.
• Competent with Excel, Word and Microsoft Teams.

About Meander

Meander is a start-up clothing brand that genuinely cares about the world we live in. We make sustainable, versatile clothing for everyday adventures. We work with premium performance fabrics to create minimalist style, functional garments, designed to take you from city to mountain!

We opened our first store on George Street, Edinburgh in October 2020 and we are opening a new store in Stockbridge, this October and are looking for a hands-on team member to help us.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced retail assistant with a passion for the outdoors and the environment. You will be involved in every aspect of store operations, engaging with customers, stock management, house-keeping, and contributing to marketing, social media as well as store events.

As a new brand, we are looking for someone with aligned values, a passion for the outdoors and sustainability and who can bring our brand to life. You must have great people skills and enjoy talking to customers and creating a community around the store.

Key Responsibilities

• There is also the opportunity to assist in marketing activities by contributing to content for our social channels, writing articles for the on-line magazine as well as researching influencers for brand collaborations
