From our head office and flagship Edinburgh Store we design our range for our customers who love the outdoors. We are proudly Scottish and work with local Scottish manufacturers and European factories to create our performance range. We’re a direct to consumer brand and sell through our Meander stores in Stockbridge Edinburgh, 7 Dials London as well as our ecommerce store.

About the Role:

Meander is looking for an ambitious e-commerce and social media manager with a passion for the outdoors and sustainable clothing, looking to take the rains in an exciting new role for a Scottish start up. 

You will play a key role in driving our online sales and growing our brand presence in the digital space. We are looking for someone to take ownership of the website and social media including, sales through the website and all duties related to Ecommerce channels. As a small family run start up, the role will include a wide variety of tasks and a great opportunity to get involved in all areas of the business and for the role to grow along with the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Meander Apparel’s website (Shopify), ensuring content is up to date and engaging and providing a seamless, user-friendly shopping experience.
  • Ensuring product listings, descriptions, images and inventory levels are up to date and accurate.
  • Manage online orders through to fulfillment, returns, exchanges and customer queries.
  • Work closely with 3rd party shipping & logistics partners to ensure processes are run efficiently.
  • Ensuring that excellent customer service is provided at all steps of the customer journey ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring the website performance and using analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly sales/KPI reports to company directors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve website performance and conversion rate to improve sales performance.
  • Collaborating with founders and marketing team to create effective online campaigns and product launches.
  • Creating email campaigns to drive traffic to the website, engage with customers and deliver sales.
  • Maintain the brand image and consistency of voice across multiple channels
  • Managing all social media accounts –scheduling daily grid posts/Instagram stories/reels & replying to customers/engaging with posts. 
  • Focus on growing our social media accounts/increasing engagement – using the necessary tools to track the success of posts & change/target content accordingly. 
  • Editing photos/videos from the shoots to the highest quality – using canva and Photoshop

The Ideal Candidate:

This would be an ideal role for someone with 1-2 years of experience looking for an opportunity to develop their career with a fast growing start-up company. We’ve been growing significantly each year and have big ambitions to grow the brand further. We’re looking for a hands-on team player to help us drive the business forward and become a core member of our team.

  • Marketing, Ecommerce and Social Media experience (1 - 2 years relevant experience preferred) clothing/lifestyle experience is preferable but not essential. 
  • Passion for the outdoors, sustainable clothing and excitement for what we do is essential. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or a similar discipline
  • Expertise in coordinating and planning web content, email and social campaigns
  • Experience in email marketing (Mailchimp or Klaviyo experience preferred)
  • Experience of maintaining an ecommerce back end platform (Shopify experience preferred)
  • Experience of using Web analytics to drive business forward
  • Proactive and hands-on with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

About us:

Meander is a Scottish outdoor clothing brand that genuinely cares about the world we live in. We work with premium performance fabrics to create minimalist style, functional garments, designed to work if you are on the office commute, climbing a mountain or drinking espressos in the city.

As outdoor lovers we are naturally passionate about the environment and sustainability is the forefront of our brand values, we work with only European factories, we’re Carbon Neutral and we’ve partnered with 1% for the planet (donating 1% of our sales to environmental charities) and are on our way to becoming B-Corp certified.

We launched our first collection online in October 2019 and are a DTC brand with a flagship store and HQ in Edinburgh and a store in Covent Garden, London. We were selected by the judges at ISPO Brandnew as one of the top 50 newcomers in 2020 and have plans to grow the brand rapidly.
We’re at the beginning of an exciting journey and looking for a passionate, hands-on team member who is excited to join us at the early stages and help to grow the London community from the ground up at our new 7 Dials store.

About the Role:

The marketing and retail assistant role is key to bringing our brand to life through amplifying brand awareness of Meander across multiple channels, writing engaging content, researching like ambassadors and influencers, supporting the retail side in the day to day running of the store.
This role would be a great opportunity for a recent graduate with experience or an interest in one or more of the following and would relish the opportunity to get involved in the early stages of a fast-growing start-up brand.

About you:

Role Requirements:
• Ideal for a marketing graduate.
• Experience working in retail is a plus.
• Creative, confident, and inquisitive personality.
• Proficiency in using Adobe suite is a plus.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively our brand messaging in store.
• A passion for sustainability and the great outdoors.

We opened our first store on George Street, Edinburgh in October 2020 and we are opening a new store in Stockbridge, this October and are looking for a hands-on team member to help us.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced retail assistant with a passion for the outdoors and the environment. You will be involved in every aspect of store operations, engaging with customers, stock management, house-keeping, and contributing to marketing, social media as well as store events.

As a new brand, we are looking for someone with aligned values, a passion for the outdoors and sustainability and who can bring our brand to life. You must have great people skills and enjoy talking to customers and creating a community around the store.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as an ambassador for the brand and convey our story and values to customers
• Learn and maintain great product knowledge. You must acquire an excellent understanding of the performance materials and eco credentials of each product
• Maintain the store to a high standard including visual merchandising and general housekeeping
• Give amazing customer service.
• There is also the opportunity to assist in marketing activities by contributing to content for our social channels, writing articles for the on-line magazine as well as researching influencers for brand collaborations


The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in retail – ideally apparel
• Excellent people skills
• Passion and enthusiasm to work with a sustainable outdoor brand.
• A good work ethic and team skills and an ability to manage time effectively
• Great organisational skills and be efficient and process driven
