Meander Apparel is a sustainable technical clothing company based in Edinburgh. We have a small team, but big ambitions and often have roles available for talented, motivated and experienced individuals to join our team. About us:

Meander is a Scottish outdoor clothing brand that genuinely cares about the world we live in. We work with premium performance fabrics to create minimalist style, functional garments, designed to work if you are on the office commute, climbing a mountain or drinking espressos in the city.

As outdoor lovers we are naturally passionate about the environment and sustainability is the forefront of our brand values, we work with only European factories, we’re Carbon Neutral and we’ve partnered with 1% for the planet (donating 1% of our sales to environmental charities) and are on our way to becoming B-Corp certified.

We launched our first collection online in October 2019 and opened our first store in Edinburgh in October 2020 followed by our Spitalfields store in December last year. We were selected by the judges at ISPO Brandnew as one of the top 50 newcomers in 2020 and have plans to grow and expand the brand rapidly.

We’re at the beginning of an exciting journey and looking for a passionate, hands-on team member who is excited to join us at the early stages and help to grow the London community from the ground up at our new 7 Dials store.
 

About the Role:

As Store Manager you will have full accountability for the day to day performance of all aspects of the store. As a new brand, we are looking for someone with aligned values, a passion for the outdoors and sustainability and who can bring our brand to life. You must have great people skills and enjoy talking to customers and creating a community around the store.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for the brand and convey our story and values to customers
  • Full accountability for the store performance. Help set and communicate targets to all team members.
  • Learn and maintain great product knowledge. You must acquire an excellent understanding of the performance materials and eco credentials of each product
  • Maintain the store to a high standard including visual merchandising and general housekeeping
  • Create a community through hosting events, Sunday socials and social media
  • Report stock and manage inventory
  • Give amazing customer service.
  • Leading, motivating and mentoring your store team
  • Ensure safe working environment for the team and carry out relevant risk assessments
  • Manage the back of house operation that supports the needs of the store

 

Requirements - What you need: 

  • Must be passionate about the outdoors and the environment. A team player who enjoys motivating and leading others. 
  • Proactive person with high standards. We’re a start-up brand and it’s important that you’re a self starter who can work well individually and as part of a team.
  • 3 years plus experience, plus experience at Store Manager or assistant manager level within a premium clothing brand with similar brand values.
  • Competent with Excel, Word and Microsoft Teams.
