Meander was founded by husband-and-wife team Jill and Steve Henry, with a simple belief: life is better when you spend more time outdoors.
Living in Scotland, we wanted clothing that worked for dog walks, coastal strolls, weekends away and ever-changing weather. We didn’t want overtly technical gear designed for climbing Everest, but we did need clothing made for an outdoor lifestyle.
We wanted well-designed, well-made pieces that were versatile, comfortable and easy to wear every day.
So, we created Meander.
Inspired by Scotland and made for life between city and wild, our clothing is designed to handle unpredictable weather without feeling overly technical. Each piece is made to be worn throughout the day, for travelling, walking, exploring and everything in between.
MADE WITH PURPOSE
We are passionate about craftsmanship and believe the best products come from working with people who truly understand their materials.
We celebrate Scotland’s long history of textile manufacturing, working with skilled Scottish knitwear makers to create timeless pieces with care. We also source further afield when a region has particular expertise. Our T-shirts and sweatshirts are made in Portugal, where generations of manufacturers have built a reputation for exceptional quality in jersey production.
For us, it is not about producing everything in one place. It is about finding the right people, the right materials and the right skills to make each product properly.
DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY
Our connection to the outdoors shapes the decisions we make. Steve is a qualified scuba-diving instructor, while Jill has worked in the fashion industry for more than 20 years and has seen first-hand the impact the industry can have on the planet.
That is why we choose recycled, organic and responsibly sourced materials. We focus on creating quality garments designed to be worn and enjoyed for years.
We believe better materials, thoughtful design and responsible production should not be reserved for luxury price points. Our aim is to make exceptional clothing at a fair price for the people who wear it, the people who make it and the world we all enjoy exploring.
